After the Covid-19 pandemic we restarted our activities for another year with the mission to raise cancer awareness and to teach people that early detection and proper screening can save lives.
In both 2022 and 2023, we organized seminars, breast/cervical screening camps and general medical checkups for free. In the seminars, we discussed the importance of breast self-exams, cervical and oral cancer screening that could save and enhance a better life.
Also, we provided medicine for free.
During these two years, KDFCC, CNCI medical teams, and consultative oncologists conducted 10 medical screening camps.

BSE (Breast Self-Exam) was performed on 643 women. All of the women’s results were negative.
564 women were screened for cervical cancer. 14 women were found VIA +. These women are successfully treated by surgery and/or medicine and have been advised to do a routine follow up checkup.
During follow up checkups, 4 were diagnosed with HPV positive. These women were escorted to Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute by their guardian and our volunteers. There, these women were successfully treated by surgery and/or medicine where necessary. Their biopsy results showed no evidence of malignancy.
With the services of two general physicians, KDFCC also provided general checkups for villagers and free or minimally priced medicine camps. A total of 935 people, both male and female, adults and children, took advantage of these free checkups. KDFCC provided free medicine to patients, both gynecological and general.

Our annual Foundation Day was held to raise cancer awareness and to encourage people to learn about the importance of early detection.
Cancer affects millions of people irrespective of religion, race, and creed. We strongly believe together we can help fight against cancer and make progress towards our mission.
