KDFCC aims to raise cancer awareness and to teach people that many cancer deaths could be prevented if early cancer detection measures were adopted, such as routine check-ups and screening procedures. KDFCC provides breast cancer and cervical cancer screening along with general medical check-ups to help underprivileged communities. In addition, KDFCC believes in supporting people afflicted by cancer, as well as their families, to get through cancer treatment and attain a better quality of life.

Our program includes a door to door campaign to discuss the importance of participating in screening that could save lives.
This year we gave nine seminars to increase awareness of breast and cervical cancer screening.
KDFCC volunteers, supported by the CNCI medical team, conducted eleven medical camps that provided no cost services for breast screening, cervical screening, general checkups and blood sugar level testing. These resulted in the following:
  • Gynecologists checked a total of 709 women.
  • BE (Breast -Exam) was performed on 574 women. CBE (Clinical Breast Exam) was performed on 17 women.
  • 449 women were screened for cervical cancer.
  • Breast lumps were detected in 5 women.
  • Biopsies were taken from 30 women
  • 18 were diagnosed with HPV positive
  • 12 were diagnosed with CIN I and 1 woman were diagnosed with CIN II

As usual, KDFCC volunteers escorted the diagnosed women to the CNCI hospital where they were successfully treated by surgery and medicine as applicable. Now these women are in remission and have routine follow up checkups.

A total of 1275 people including men, women and children, took advantage of the free general checkups.

A total of 284 villagers had their blood sugar level checked.

KDFCC provided free medicine to 1313 patients, both gynecological and general.

KDFCC supported 3 students from cancer victim families by supplying books, admission fees and tuition fees so that these students can still advance in their studies.

KDFCC provided monetary support for treatment of other cancers such as prostate and blood cancer as well. Three cancer patients received this type of support. KDFCC is focusing on raising funds so that we can help more cancer victims from underprivileged communities receive treatment.

Our news magazine 'Dishari' focused on increasing cancer awareness was published. We are proud of the children who gave their time and effort to publish this magazine on time.

Our annual Rally was held to raise cancer awareness and educate people about the importance of early detection.
Approximately about 300 people joined the rally.

We strongly believe that together we can help fight against cancer and create a world in which people live longer and better.
