We aim to raise awareness and encourage regular screening for cervical cancer as well as breast cancer among women. We try our best to make people understand that awareness is the key to fight against cancer.

- This year we conducted 4 seminars. In the seminar we discussed the importance of breast self exams and cervical screening that could save lives. .
- KDFCC volunteers along with the support of medical team of CNCI conducted 5 medical and breast and cervical screening camps:
- A total of 359 women were checked by gynecologists.
- BSE (Breast Self-Exam) was performed on 292 women. CBE (Clinical Breast Exam) was performed on 13 women.
- 6 women were detected with breast lump and 258 women were screened for cervical cancer.
- Biopsies were taken from 15 women, out of whom 16 were diagnosed with HPV positive, 3 were diagnosed with CIN1 and 1 was diagnosed with CIN 11.
- Our volunteers escorted these women to the CNCI hospital where they were successfully treated by surgery and /or medicine. Now these women are in remission and having been advised to do the routine follow up checkups.
- In addition, KDFCC also provided free general checkups as well as a program to determine blood sugar level of villagers while fasting.
- This year a total of 579 people both male, female and children took advantage of these free checkups. A total of 161 villagers had their blood sugar level checked with no cost.
- We provided free medicine to 401 patients, both gynecological and general.
- KDFCC continued support to two students from cancer victim families for books, admission fees and tuition fees so that these students can move forward for their better life.
- KDFCC provided monetary support of different type of cancer patients for their treatment as well. We supported 8 cancer patients who suffer from cancer such as breast cancer,
- This year also our news magazine ‘Dishari’ focused on increasing cancer awareness was published and we are proud of our children who gave their time and effort to publish this magazine on time.
- Our annual Rally held to raise cancer awareness and to encourage people to learn about the importance of early detection.
- Approximately 200 people joined with us.
- Cancer affects millions of people irrespective religion, race and creed. We strongly believe together we can help fight against cancer and make progress towards our mission.
